Mesa is seeking our next skilled and driven team member! Based in Ashland City, we specialize in custom millwork and furniture for commercial spaces in Nashville, TN. Mesa is a young, growing company with a passion for the highly creative finish work in the growing city we love.
Job Role
This posting is for a production assistant. Our production supervisor needs an extra set of hands to keep up with our workload. This is a diverse role, including loading and making deliveries in our box truck, assisting in light installation and bench millwork, various shop projects like painting, organizing, and cleaning. This could be a great fit for someone looking for an intro to the custom fabrication world.
Responsibilities
- Assist Production Supervisor with daily production needs and shop coordination
- Load and deliver completed work and materials using Mesa’s box truck
- Pick up and drop off parts for vendors (upholstery and powder coating)
- Help with light installation tasks on-site as needed
- Support bench millwork: sanding, edge-banding, painting, and prepping parts
- Tackle shop improvement projects including cleaning, organizing, and painting
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe working condition
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Valid driver’s license and comfort driving a box truck
- Strong work ethic and willingness to jump into varied tasks
- Self-motivated and dependable with good communication skills
- Basic familiarity with tools and shop equipment
- Attention to detail and pride in keeping a clean, organized workspace
- Comfortable taking direction and working independently
- Able to lift and move materials up to 75 lbs
- Willingness to work flexible hours when needed
Pay & Benefits
- Pay: $18-22 hourly
- Profit Sharing Quarterly
- Holidays: 10 paid holiday days annually
- Insurance: Mesa covers 50% of health insurance costs; dental and vision coverage available at employee expense
Work Schedule
- 36 hours weekly, M-T: 7:00am–4:30pm. Flexible time off options available.
